    Alex Eala saw her campaign at the WTA 500 Linz Open come to an end after absorbing a 6-4, 7-5 defeat to Jelena Ostapenko in the Round of 16 on Wednesday.


    The one-hour and 43-minute match saw Ostapenko finally break through against Eala, earning her victory over the Filipina after dropping their first two meetings on the pro tour. It was also their first encounter on clay.
