    Among those in attendance was Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Sports, who served as the ceremony’s guest speaker.     Go reiterated his support for pushing programs for sports and welfare development, as he believes sports helps in encouraging youngsters to stay away from activities not in their interest.

    “As your Senate committee chairman on sports, rest assured, I will continue to pursue sports development programs and initiatives that will promote the welfare of our athletes, to help restore our rightful place in the world of sports,” Go concluded.
