They gave us a hard time in the whole conference,” De Guzman said in the postmatch press conference.

    “Hahabaan namin yung pasensya namin at ready kami sa mga babaguhin ng Cignal sa Game 2. And siguro, yun, lagi naman naming sinasabi na one day lang ang preparation, so kailangan naming makarecover agad talaga ngayong gabi, makakain nang maayos at makatulog, then balik kami sa training at Game 2 ulit.”

Tots Carlos spearheaded the attack with 15 points, delivering in crucial stretches, particularly in the tightly contested first and third sets. She was ably supported by Jema Galanza and Jeanette Panaga, who chipped in 13 markers apiece to keep the offense balanced and unpredictable.
