James’ absence became a major talking point, especially given his long-standing relationship with Adebayo and their time together representing Team USA on the international stage.
Adebayo also left out his current Miami Heat teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, NBA champion, and one of the league’s most dominant players of the modern era.

“I’m cool with Bron. I consider Bron like a brother honestly. We have been Olympic teammates, but even before that we have always had down-to-earth conversations. I’m happy for him. You want what’s best for somebody. That’s really how you go from there,” Adebayo said.
