The 21-year-old continues to redefine Philippine tennis after becoming the first Filipino to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam singles tournament with her unforgettable campaign at Wimbledon.
Now, her attention shifts to another major opportunity.
Eala begins her North American hardcourt season at the Mubadala DC Open from July 25 to Aug. 2, where she will compete in the singles draw while also teaming up once again with former world No. 1 Venus Williams in doubles.
The tournament marks the start of Eala’s buildup toward the US Open, the year’s final Grand Slam, where she hopes to build on the momentum that has propelled her to a career-high standing on the WTA Tour.
