For most teams in the MPL Philippines, a dominant regular season is considered a major accomplishment. For Team Liquid PH, it has quickly become the standard.
As the MPL Philippines Season 17 playoffs approach, Team Liquid PH enters the postseason not simply as the top seed, but as a squad beginning to establish what could become one of the league’s defining dynasties.
The numbers alone paint a picture of complete control. Team Liquid PH wrapped up the regular season with a commanding 13-1 match record, winning 27 games while dropping only six throughout the entire campaign. Their lone series defeat came during Week 6 against Team Falcons PH in a tightly contested 1-2 result — the only time this season another team managed to hand them a full series loss.
Even the teams that managed to take individual games off them were limited to only a few. AP.Bren and Aurora Gaming PH each secured single-game victories, but no team consistently threatened Team Liquid PH’s control throughout the season.
Meanwhile, Omega, ONIC PH, TNC, and Twisted Minds PH all suffered clean sweeps at the hands of the defending champions.
What separates Team Liquid PH from the rest of the field is not only their ability to win, but how comprehensively they dictate games statistically.

Rather than relying on a single superstar, Team Liquid PH has built a system where every role consistently pressures opponents — whether through farming efficiency, map control, or teamfight execution.
That balance may be what makes them particularly dangerous entering the playoffs.
Now carrying momentum and statistical superiority into the postseason, Team Liquid PH is seeking its third straight MPL Philippines championship and fourth domestic title overall since joining the league in Season 13 back in 2024.
But while Team Liquid PH headlines the playoff picture, the chase behind them remains competitive.
Team Falcons PH secured the second seed after finishing with a strong 12-2 series record, earning an automatic berth into the upper bracket semifinals alongside Team Liquid PH.
Meanwhile, ONIC Philippines, Omega Esports, Twisted Minds PH, and Aurora Gaming PH advanced to the Play-Ins phase, where survival becomes far less forgiving.
For AP.Bren and TNC Pro Team, however, the season ended earlier than expected after failing to qualify for the postseason.
The MPL Philippines Season 17 Playoffs will run from May 27 to 31 at the San Juan Arena.
