Veteran Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) courtside reporter Apple David has become the center of widespread public discussion after confirming that she is in a relationship with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) basketball player Chad Gammad.

“I know it’s a very risky relationship because of the age gap, but it’s a risk we are both taking and I hope people can be kind enough to allow us to do that in peace. Among those who publicly criticized the situation was former courtside reporter Ira Pablo, who openly questioned David’s professionalism in a series of social media posts.
“Everybody knows how Apple David behaves around players. Wag na tayo maglokohan dito. Panahon palang ng daddy ko, she’s been around. I’m so surprised ngayon lang to lumabas after all these years and ironically, because she exposed herself again,” Pablo wrote.
Pablo went further by criticizing what she described as deeper issues within the local sports media environment, suggesting that problematic behavior has long been tolerated within the industry.
